What is Dialogue Writing?

    Dialogue writing is the writing of the conversation between two or more people. The persons get involved in the discussion of a particular issue or topic, each of them giving his / her opinions. The dialogue is written as in dramaor play with the names of each speaker seperated from words they speak, by a colon. The vocabulary and languageused is simple and causal if the conversation is between friends and aquaintances but formal and politeif one of the speakers is someone in authority.

While Writing a Dialogue, the Following Points must be kept in mind-

1)There should be proper introduction.

2)   Appropriate Tenses should be used.

3)   Language and style should suit the occasion.

4)   Dialogue should be written in very Simple, Lucid language keeping in mind the flow of conversation.

5)   There should be appropriate greetings, a Natural Introduction of a topic & suitable closure.  

6)  Punctuation marks should be used, wherever necessary.
