Review of Tanhaji -The Unsung

Warrior

Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior,

starring Ajay Devgan and directed

by Bhushan and Krishnan Kumar,

was released in 2020. The Om

Raut-directed movie is a biography

of Tanhaji. Tanhaji Malusare wasa

renowned combatant in Chatrapati

Shivaji Maharaj's army. The film is

a biographical sketch of him.

Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj handed

over the charge of 23 forts to

Mirza Raje in the contract of

Kondhana, which is the pride of

Maharashtra and is handed over to

Udaybhan, after his release from

the clutches of Aurangzeb.

Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj wants

to regain it. Tanhaji takes up the

responsibility by keeping his son's

wedding aside. He climbs the fort

with a few Marathas and battles

with Udaybhan. The movie is

plenty of action, and each scene is

expertly and smoothly directed.

The 17th century in Maharashtra is

expertly depicted in the movie as it

reflects the Maratha empire. The

film crew worked very hard to

construct a lengthy set so that it

resembled the valley. For a power-

packed climax, it is a must-watch.
